For several years the Vanastra Recreation Centre has provided a Summer Day Camp service for families with in the area. As the Municipality is moving forward and making an effort to unify recreation programs and opportunities throughout the Municipality of Huron East, we would like your feedback to see if there is an interest or need for a Summer Day Camp service for families in the Brussels area.The survey questions below require no personal information or commitment to utilize the service. This is a starting point to see if there would be enough interest to support a summer day camp program.Thank you to those who participate!

Brussels Summer Day Camp

The Municipality of Huron East is in the process of developing a Huron East Community Improvement Plan (CIP), which will allow us to implement certain financial incentives, such as fa&ccedil;ade, signage and accessibility grants. Previously, separate CIPs were created for downtown Brussels and Seaforth for fa&ccedil;ade improvements only. Thank you to the business owners, commercial property owners and those involved or interested in residential development who took the time to complete the survey about potential financial incentive programs. Huron East Community Improvement Plan

Huron East is working on preparing an Outdoor Inclusive Space Project Plan for our communities and we want your input! While a traditional playground is beneficial for the healthy development of children and youth, the Outdoor Inclusive Space Project Plan will focus on providing an outdoor space more inviting towards all ages and abilities. This space would include outdoor fitness equipment, a play structure as well as a small sport court. Complete our survey to help us understand who will be visiting the space and what type of equipment you think will be most useful or fun. The survey also includes an opportunity to provide your suggestions or ideas how to make the space fun for everyone. Your input will help us choose and design the right outdoor space for your neighbourhood!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first Brussels Logo Concept Quick Poll! The #1 Logo Concept was overwhelmingly voted the favourite. There were some comments from people about not liking the chosen font, so we have decided to present three more options. Please vote for your favourite.Font Selection: The font used in the logo was carefully selected for its unique style. The soft and slightly serifed font conveys a sense of approachability and warmth, emphasizing the friendly and welcoming nature of the community.
